Purgatory is celebrating its 55th season, with the 2020/2021 opening day set for November 21. Resort officials announced that the resort plans to open for the ski season at 9am on Saturday, November 21.

Does Purgatory resort make snow?

Purgatory Resort has bolstered its snowmaking this year with the addition of six fan guns that more than double the amount of artificial snow that can be produced compared with older snowmaking devices. The resort, which is scheduled to open Nov. 21, covers 250 acres of terrain with snowmaking.
