What happened to Omas?
In June 2018 it was announced that Ancora, another Italian penmaker, had acquired OMAS and that production would be resumed with OMAS remaining a separate brand, retaining its classic models and using the materials inherited from the former company.
Are Omas pens good?
So far, I really like this pen. I can see it making its way into the regular rotation. It’s a great pen to keep on your desk, since it doesn’t roll, and the unique shape and styling almost makes it a piece of art. The Masuyama nib seals the deal.
Is it worth buying expensive pens?
Ultimately, it’s only worth it if you appreciate a nice pen and you can afford it. If you want a fountain pen, the $100+ pens actually perform substantially better than $10 pens. Gold, platinum-iridium, etc. are much better materials.
Did Delta pens go out of business?
Unfortunately Delta pen has ceased operations. This is a loss to the pen industry as they created a range of excellent pens.
